The AS−Interface valve terminal type CPA...−A SI... is de
signed exclusively for controlling pneumatic actuators and
may only be used in bus systems as agreed in the AS−Inter
face specifications. The specified limit values for pres
sures, temperatures, electrical data, torques etc. must be
observed.
AS−Interface bus systems and valve terminals may only be
installed by specially qualified personnel. Detailed specifi
cations on the concept and addressing of the AS−Interface
bus system can be found in the manual for the AS−Inter
face master.
Detailed information on the pneumatic components of the
valve terminal can be found in the pneumatics manual
type P.BE−CPA−....
Warning
S Switch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (otherwise functioning may be
impaired).
S Use power supplies which guarantee reliable electri
cal isolation of the operating voltage as per IEC/DIN
EN 60204−1. Consider also the general requirements
for PELV circuits in accordance with IEC/DIN EN
60204−1.
S Connect the functional earth connection of the valve
terminal with low impedance (short cable with big
cross section) to the earth potential.
S Commission only a valve terminal which is completely
fitted and wired.
