22 DO NOT USE IF CORD, PLUG, FILTER,
OR VACUUM CLEANER IS IN POOR
CONDITION. If the Vacuum Cleaner has
been dropped, damaged, exposed to
weather, or dropped into water; have it
checked by an authorized service.
23 ALWAYS USE EYE PROTECTION
when operating Vacuum Cleaner.
24 USE EXTRA CAUTION when operating
on stairs.
25 STAY ALERT! Do not use Vacuum
Cleaner when you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medica-
tion.
26 Only use UL / CSA-listed explosive-
proof motors in the proximity of flamma-
ble or combustible dust. Motors not list-
ed in UL / CSA are only designed for
atmospheric conditions that do not pose
a risk of explosion.
27 The motor lifting equipment is only de-
signed for lifting the motor.
28 When using in a Class II, Division 1,
Group F and G environment, the motor
may overheat and result in the ignition of
hazardous material. Operating the mo-
tor under any of the following conditions
may cause the specified surface tem-
perature to be exceeded:
 Ambient temperature exceeds the val-
ue on the type plate
 Voltages exceed or fall below the val-
ue on the type plate
 Fluctuations in the mains voltages
 Loss of sufficient ventilation
 Heights above 3300 ft / 1000 meter
 High load due to repeated starts
 Single-phase operation of the motor
 Operation with changing mains fre-
quency
The following notes are attached to the
device:
1 CAUTION - TO AVOID ELECTRIC
SHOCK, DO NOT USE THE VACUUM
CLEANER OUTDOORS OR ON WET
SURFACES.

2 WARNING - TO REDUCE TO RISK OF
INJURY CAUSE BY MOVING PARTS,
DISCONNECT THE PLUG BEFORE
MAINTENANCE WORK.
3 CAUTION - BEFORE OPENING THE
COVER, DISCONNECT THE CIRCUIT
AND KEEP THE COVER CLOSED
WHEN THE CIRCUIT IS SWITCHED
ON.
4 WARNING - THE INSTALLED EXPLO-
SION-PROOF PLUG MUST BE CERTI-
FIED AND SUITABLE FOR THE
HAZARDOUS ZONES IN WHICH THE
VACUUM CLEANER IS INSTALLED.
5 WARNING - THE VACUUM CLEANER
MAY ONLY BE CLEANED WITH A
MOIST CLOTH.
6 OBSERVE THE INSTALLATION IN-
STRUCTIONS.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
 This appliance must be grounded. If it
should malfunction or break down,
grounding provides a path of least resis-
tance for electric current to reduce the
risk of electric shock.
 The device is equipped with a power
supply with a grounding conductor.
 The plug must be inserted into an appro-
priate outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local
codes and ordinances.
 The vacuum cleaner is supplied without
an electrical plug.
 It is the operator's responsibility to fit a
suitable electrical plug for the classifica-
tion of hazardous locations (Class II -
Group F and G).
 The electrical plug may only be fitted by
a qualified electrician.
WARNING:
 Improper connection of the equipment
grounding conductor can result in a risk
of electric shock.
 Check with a qualified electrician or ser-
vice person if you are in doubt as to
whether the outlet is properly grounded.
 If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper
outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
