EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:
Read these safety instructions carefully in addition to the instructions for use, operation and maintenance. Keep this instructions sheet in an easy to fi nd place
as you may need to use it again.
This pneumatic jack has been designed for use in the elevation of cars and lorries.
Any other application, beyond the conditions established for use of this pneumatic jack will be considered inappropriate.
Handle the pneumatic jack correctly and ensure that all parts are in good condition prior to its use.
Do not modify the pneumatic jack in any way.
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for the improper use of the pneumatic jack.
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (§ 7.1.1 de l'EN 1494+A1)
The owner and/or operator shall have an understanding of the product, its operating characteristics, and safety operating instructions before operating it.
Safety information shall be understood:
1.
Study, understand and follow all instructions before operating this device.
2.
Do not exceed rated capacity.
3.
Support the vehicle with appropriate means immediately after lifting.
4.
Lift only on areas of the vehicle as specifi ed by the vehicle manufacturer.
5.
No alterations shall be made to this product.
6.
Only attachments and/or adapters applied by the manufacturer shall be used.
7.
Visual inspection shall be made before each use by checking for abnormal conditions, such as cracked welds, leaks, and damaged, loose, or missing
parts.
8.
It shall be the responsibility of the employer to ensure that applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) complies with applicable local safety codes.
9.
Any product that appears to be damaged in any way, is found to be worn, or operates abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL
REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
10.
Before lifting a vehicle, ensure it is on a stable, fl at, horizontal and clean surface (no grease nor oil) (1).
11.
Check the vehicle to lift is perfectly immobilised (2).
12.
To support the vehicle, use another appropriate means, e.g. a prop (3).
13.
To prevent the assembly from slipping, always centre the load on the jack properly.
14.
When using the pneumatic jack, no person must be inside the vehicle or lean on it.
15.
Check the precaution label is legible at all times. When retrofi tting your equipment, these labels are available (5) as well as the operating instructions
(NU-DL.2A2L_0218) on our website.
16.
If the device jams, lift the vehicle with another jack until the fi rst can be cleared.
17.
Do not use the pneumatic jack in the presence of violent wind, frost, under extreme climates, near powerful magnetic fi elds or potentially explosive
atmospheres.
18.
Avoid any contact between the pneumatic jack and food.
19.
Never use this pneumatic jack to lift persons.
20.
Never use this pneumatic jack as a handling means (for moving loads).
21.
Before use on a ship, please refer to the safety instructions in point 10 of these instructions.
22.
The maximum manual forces required for operating the pneumatic jack (unloaded and loaded with the nominal load respectively) do not exceed the
following values:
To start moving an unloaded movable or mobile pneumatic jack : 300 N
To maintain the movement of the unloaded pneumatic jack : 200 N
To start moving a loaded mobile pneumatic jack : 400 N
To maintain the movement of the loaded pneumatic jack : 300 N
To lift the loaded pneumatic jack using the lever of a hand pump: 400 N
To lift the loaded pneumatic jack using a foot pump: 400 N
To lift the pneumatic jack with a rated load ≤ 5 t using a crank: 250 N
NOTE : If the loads generated exceed these values, they must be reduced by the intervention of additional persons.
23.
If oil overfl ows, please do not use the pneumatic jack, and refer to section 4 of these user instructions or contact your Facom dealer.
24.
This pneumatic jack is designed for 5000 operating cycles minimum.
25.
This pneumatic jack complies with the NF EN 1494+A1 standard: Mobile or movable jacks and associated lifting equipment.
Failure to heed these markings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
2. SETUP
1.
Insert screw, bushing into positioning hole of handle, fi x to connection bracket together with the wheels.
2.
Connect the tube by connecting two air hose of the handle to the pneumatic jack. The white hose is connected under the black hose.
3.
Angle of the handle can be adjusted by the handle grip insert into different hole of the support plate to adjust the angle.
3. OPERATION (§ 7.1.2 de l'EN 1494+A1)
Important: Prior to lifting the load, ensure that all of the mentioned safety instructions are followed.
1.
Make sure that the vehicle lifting point suggested by the car manufacturer is stable and properly centered on the saddle.
2.
Start lifting by open the green valve and close the red valve (6).
3.
After lifting the load, always place axle stands.
4.
To lower the pneumatic jack by open the red valve, remove the axle stands.
5.
The safety valve is a very important part of this pneumatic jack, always keep it can be automatic relief when the pressure
over 8.5kg/cm2.
4. MAINTENANCE (§ 7.1.3 de l'EN 1494+A1)
IMPORTANT: Keep the service pneumatic jack clean. If the pneumatic jack has been exposed to rain, snow, sand, or grit, it must be cleaned before it
is used.
1.
Store the pneumatic jack, with pistons completely retracted, in a well-protected area where it will not be exposed to corrosive vapors, abrasive dust, or
any other harmful elements.
2.
Use only replacement parts that are approved by the manufacturer. The use of non-original components may damage the pneumatic jack and will
invalidate the guarantee. Disconnect the air supply before performing any maintenance operation.
3.
Regularly lubricate the moving parts in the wheels, arm, and handle using a high quality grease and introduce a small amount of lubricant in the air inlet
connection. The whole pneumatic jack should be kept clean and protected from aggressive conditions at all times.
4.
Inspected the pneumatic jack before each use. Take corrective action if any of the following problems are found:
a. Cracked, damaged housing. b. Excessive wear, bending, other damage
5.
Keep warning labels clean and readable. Use a mild soap solution to wash external surfaces of the pneumatic jack.
6.
Both the maintenance and repair of this pneumatic jack may only be carried out by qualifi ed and authorized personnel.
