Extraction of the Exhaust Air
After removing the silencer 9 a hose can be connect-
ed to the air outlet that leads away the exhaust air.
Advantages:
Noise reduction
No contamination of the working area by stirred
up dust
Exhaust air led away.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before performing any work on the unit itself,
disconnect the air supply.
Keep the unit and the tool holder clean at all times.
If the machine should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be
carried out by an authorised customer services agent
for Bosch pneumatic tools.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders, always
include the 10-digit order number of the machine.
Lubrication
Lubricant:
Special gearbox grease 225 ml . . . . . .

Molycote grease
SAE 10 / SAE 20 motor oil
Wash out the gearbox with petroleum after the first
approx. 150 hours of operation and then every 300
hours of operation and lubricate with special gearbox
grease.
Lubricate the moving parts of the clutch after approx.
each 100 000 screwing operations with a few drops of
SAE 10/SAE 20 motor oil. Grease the sliding and roll-

Clamp the bearing flange b and the stator c with

With the pressure piece w, remove the rotor/

stator.
Clean the motor and insert new vanes e.

With the pressure piece x, press the bearing

flange b over the outer ring of the ball bearing f.
The rotor must rotate freely!

Set the longitudinal play between the bearing
flange g and rotor h to 0.02 ± 0.01 mm.
If the rotor is not easy-running, hold the bearing
flange g and eliminate the binding with a light
blow from a copper hammer on the pinion.
Self-made aids for vane replacement:
w Pressure piece – dia. 6.5 mm x approx. 20 mm
x Pressure piece – dia. 18 mm x approx. 20 mm
y Support bushing – dia. 8.5 mm x dia. 18 mm x
approx. 20 mm
z Pressure piece – dia. 7.5 mm x dia. 10 mm x
approx. 20 mm
Any Bosch customer service centre can perform this
work quickly and reliably.
Dispose of lubricants and cleaning agents in an
environmentally correct manner. Observe legal
regulations.
