4. Slide the filter into position in the waterpipe.
NOTICE: Be sure the water flow through the filter head follows the
direction of the arrows on the filter head. Figure 3.

5. Glue the filter into position using PVC cleaner and cement. If you
are installing the filter in a metal water pipe, purchase and install
the appropriate adapters.
6. Turn on the water supply and test for leaks.
WHEN TO CLEAN THE PURGE CHAMBER
When sand and silt fill the purge chamber approximately 1/2 full, it is
time to clean the filter. See Figure 4.
