Do not attempt to open the device for maintenance or repair. The device contains no user-serviceable parts. Contact your
oxygen provider if service is required. Do not attempt any other maintenance.
Symptom
Oxygen is not being delivered even though the
indicator is flashing every time I breathe.
Use times are different from those stated in
the literature.
PulseDose will not pulse
PulseDose works fine for a couple of minutes,
then sensitivity seems to drift and may stop
working altogether.

Possible Causes
1. O xygen supply is empty.
1. P ulseDose responds to your breath rate.
Your breath rate may vary, which causes the
operation time to vary.
2. L eak in system
1. C annula is not adjusted properly.
2. U nit is not turned on.
3. B atteries discharged or not installed.
4. M outh breathing with closed soft palates.
5. U nit did not reset while changing batteries
(red light stays on).
1. U sing pediatric cannula or any cannula that
restricts continuous flow capacity of 10 lpm.

Remedies
1. C heck contents indicator on the device. If
empty, switch cylinders.
1. P ulseDose is operating correctly.
2. C ontact your DeVilbiss provider.
1. C heck all cannula connections to make sure
they are tight, and adjust the cannula to fit
comfortably in your nose. Ensure tubing is
not kinked.
2. T urn the rotary selector to the appropriate
setting.
3. I nstall new batteries.
4. B reathe through the nose (cannula).
5. T urn the unit off and back on using the
rotary selector.
1. R eplace with standard nasal cannula.
