5.4 Placement of cans

Cans are heated and cooled by water circulating through the autoclave.
For an optimum heat transfer, pots should be placed properly so that the shower
water flows through the pots' walls.
• Place the jars staggered, as far as possible.
• Leave a space of about 0.5 cm between pots.
• Place the reference pot on the top.
