Method of operation and use

When the compressed air connections 1 are
pressurized alternately, internal pistons are
moved backwards and forwards.
By means of a mechanical device, the axial
longitudinal movement of the piston is con
verted into a transverse movement and and
transmitted to the gripper jaws 4. Gripper
fingers are fastened to the gripper jaws. The
gripper fingers can be opened or closed in
order to hold work loads.
The gripper is double−acting and can grip
internally or externally. In conjunction with the integrated reset spring
(with HGP−...−G..) the HGP−... can be used as a single−acting gripper.
The following gripper types have a reset spring: When the gripper is exhausted,
the gripper jaws and the piston are pressed into the starting position.
gripper fingers opened: with HGP−...−G1
gripper fingers closed: HGP−...−G2.
The HGP−...−A−B(−G..) has been designed for gripping and holding work loads.

Conditions of use

Please note
Incorrect handling can lead to malfunctioning.
S Make sure that the requirements in this chapter are always observed.
The product will then function correctly and safely.
Compare the maximum values in these operating instructions with your actual
S
application (e.g. pressures, forces, torques, temperatures, masses, speeds).
The product can only be operated in accordance with the relevant safety guide
lines if the maximum loading limits are observed.
