Handling and Operation
NOTICES

Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water to make
coffee!
•
Never overfi ll the permanent fi lter.
Filling the Water Tank
1. Open the water tank lid (1).
2. Pour the quantity of water you want (min. 250 ml, max. 1250 ml) into the glass jug (8) and
then into water tank. Keep an eye on the water level indicator (3) in the water tank (Fig. A)!
3. Close the water tank lid.
Inserting the Filter
1. Open the lid of the fi lter compartment (11) .
2. If you have not already done so, place the fi lter holder (12) into the fi lter compartment (10).
Make sure that the fi lter holder is positioned correctly in the fi lter compartment (Fig. B).
3. Insert the permanent fi lter (13) into the fi lter compartment.
4. Close the fi lter compartment lid.

Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach the
MIN mark (approx. 250 ml). If this does happen, the device switches off automatically. In
this case, allow the device to cool down before water is poured in and the device is used
again.
•
Never use the device without the glass jug below the coffee outlet.
1. Fill the water tank (2) with water (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter | "Filling the
Water Tank").
2. Insert the fi lter holder (12) and the permanent fi lter (13) into the fi lter compartment (10)
(see the "Handling and Operation" chapter | "Inserting the Filter").
3. Pour the amount of ground coffee you want into the permanent fi lter using a suitable spoon.
We recommend one level coffee measuring spoon (not supplied with the device) per 125 ml.
