4. Place the glass jug (8) under the coffee outlet (9).
5. Press the On / Off switch (7) button to start the brewing process. The operating lamp in the
On / Off switch lights up green during the process. The water is transported from the water
tank through the permanent fi lter into the glass jug.
The fi lter holder has a non-drip valve (9). During the brewing process the glass jug can be
removed from the hot plate (6) to pour a cup of coffee. But be careful: You should place
the coffee jug back on the hotplate within max. 15 seconds to prevent the permanent fi lter
from overfl owing with water!
6. Press the On / Off switch in order to switch the device off when the brewing process ends.
If the coffee is to be kept warm, leave the coffee jug on the hotplate with the device
switched on. The hotplate switches off automatically after approximately 40 minutes. When
the device switches off, the operating lamp goes out.
7. Remove the mains plug from the socket when the device is not in use.
8. After use clean the fi lter holder, the permanent fi lter and the glass jug (see the "Cleaning and
Care" chapter).
Cleaning and Care
NOTICE
•
Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to
clean the device. These can damage the surface.
1. Wait until the device has completely cooled down.
2. Empty the permanent fi lter (13).
3. Clean the permanent fi lter, the fi lter holder (12) and the glass jug (8) after every use with a
mild detergent and warm water.
4. Wipe the housing out and down with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little mild detergent to
remove more intense soiling.
5. Check the mains cable (5) regularly for any damage.
