Remove (2) plastic underbody panels – using a flat head screwdriver, remove (5) plastic push pin rivets and loosen (2) threaded fasteners from the driver's side panel located near

wheel well area. Remove (4) push pin rivets and loosen (1) threaded fastener from the passenger's side panel.

Remove lower fascia
a.) by hand, remove (6) retaining clips, (3 per side), from underside of fascia, that connect the lower fascia to upper fascia, located at the outer ends of fascia. NOTE: Two clips are
behind the aluminum bumper beam. See Figure 2.
b.) remove bottom half of wheel well trim – using a 10mm socket, remove (1) screw from wheel well trim, and using a flat head screwdriver, remove (1) push-pin rivet, both sides.
c.) using a plastic trim panel tool, carefully pry (3) clips holding the wheel well trim.
TIP: It may help to reach behind fascia, by hand, release the clips by pressing center tab of clips.
d.) using a flat head screwdriver, remove (1) push pin rivet from behind wheel well trim, both sides.
e.) using plastic trim panel tools, starting at outer edges near wheel well, while gently pulling rearward, release clips and remove lower fascia. See Figure 3.
Remove bumper beam – using a 12mm socket, remove (8) M8 bolts, (4) per side, that hold bumper beam to end panel, and return factory bolts to vehicle owner. See Figure 1.

Modify bumper beam – using a hammer, bend the metal tabs on back of bumper beam so they are flush with bumper beam mounting surface. See Figure 4.

Install hitch - apply silicone sealant to the hitch bracket mounting surfaces to prevent intrusion of water and exhaust fumes. See figure 5. Raise hitch and bumper beam into position
aligning holes with weldnuts in the end panel. Sandwich the hitch between the bumper beam and end panel. See Figure 1.
Install fasteners – using a 13mm socket, install (8) M8 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers provided with hitch into weldnuts in end panel, (4) per side.

Tighten all M8 CL8.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M)
Reinstall lower fascia – reinstall the lower fascia aligning tabs in lower fascia with upper fascia. Reinstall the (6) retaining clips into fascia tabs removed in step 2a.

Reinstall wheel well trim and underbody panels – reinstall the wheel well trim and (2) underbody panels using the original fasteners noted in steps 1 and 2.

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
