3. Remove bumper beam – using a 12mm socket, remove (8) M8
bolts, (4) per side, that hold bumper beam to end panel, and return
factory bolts to vehicle owner. See Figure 1.
5. Install hitch - apply silicone sealant to the hitch bracket mounting surfaces to prevent intrusion of water and exhaust fumes. See figure 5. Raise hitch
and bumper beam into position aligning holes with weldnuts in the end panel. Sandwich the hitch between the bumper beam and end panel.

4. Modify bumper beam – using a hammer, bend the metal tabs on
back of bumper beam so they are flush with bumper beam
mounting surface. See Figure 4.
