SAFETY USE
1. Do not use a chainsaw when you are tired, ill, upset, or if you under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
2. Always wear protective clothes. Safety footwear, tight fitting clothes, and
protect your eyes, ears and hands.
3. Always handle fuel with caution. Clean the area and then place the
chainsaw at least at 3m from the re-fuelling point before starting the engine.
a) Eliminate all sources of sparks or flames (like smoking, or any work that
could cause sparks) in the areas where fuel is mixed or poured.
b) Do not smoke while handling a chainsaw or fuel.
4. Do not allow other people to be near the chainsaw
operating the chainsaw. Keep children and animals a minimum of 30 feet (10
m) away from the working area.
5. Do not start cutting until you have a clear work area, secure position and if
you are felling trees, a planned retreat path.
6. Always hold the chainsaw firmly with your two hands when
the engine is on. Have a first grip with thumb and fingers on the
chainsaw handles.
7. Keep all parts of your body away from the chainsaw when
the engine is on.
8. Before starting the engine, make sure the chainsaw will not
make contact with any object.
9. Always carry the chainsaw with the engine off, the bar and the chain at the
back side and the exhaust away from your body.
10. Always check the chainsaw before each use. Do not use a chainsaw that is
damage, adjusted wrongly or is not completely assembled and in a safe way.
Make sure that the chain stops when the trigger of the accelerator is released.
