Configuration

CAUTION:
The nodes contain electronically sensitive components.
Touching the contact surfaces of sockets and connectors
and ignoring the handling requirements for electrostatically
sensitive components may destroy the node.
To configure, proceed as follows:
1. Turn off supply voltage.
2. Remove switch module.
3. Use the DIL switches to set: Fieldbus protocol, system con-
figuration, fieldbus address/station number, diagnostic mode
(applies only to Profibus or ABB CS31), baud rate (applies
only to Festo fieldbus).
4. Reinstall switch module.
5. If the CP system is the first or last station in a fieldbus seg-
ment, the termination resistor in the Festo Sub-D plug (TN
18529) must be activated.
