3.2 Set safe temperature using ∆T (temperature difference)
Safe temperature is the total of temperature set plus ∆T (temperature cushion). Exceeding this safe
temperature will disconnect your magnetic stirrer for reasons of safety.

• For adjusting ∆T hit Select key (5) several times, until Set ∆T (13) LED lights.
• Hit Set key(6), Set ∆T LED (13) starts flashing and display (7) shows temperature set with rotary
temperature control (3).
Temperature difference ∆T can only be changed after having interrupted the
heating by pressing key on/off (4). LED Heater (8) does not light.
• To accept temperature, hold Set key (6) depressed until alteration is confirmed by a beep and „Act
Temp" appears in the display.
• Setting action may be discontinued by hitting Set key (6) once. This way, you return to the previous
setting.
3.3 Heating circuit ON / OFF
After having set speed, nominal temperature and ∆T, you may turn the heating circuit ON. At this point
you may double-check set values by hitting the Select key (5) several times. This way, Act Temp; Set
Temp; Set ∆T and Act Speed will appear in the display (7), one after the other.
• We recommend to select Act Temp display all the time.
• Hit the ON/OFF key (4) to turn the heating circuit ON.
• Heater LED (8) is going to light, i.e. system is heating.
• A yellow LED (9) confirms heating current ON.
• A soon as hot plate temperature exceeds 50°C with power switch or heating circuit at OFF, a RED
LED (10) is starting to flash.
(also refer to para. 6, residual heat warning)
• Ht the ON/OFF key (4) to turn the heating circuit OFF.
All of the parameters so set are saved by the built-in memory circuit and are
available at re-start.
