INITIAL INSTALLATION
5.
Remove one motor mounting screw (R) and motor
mounting washer (S) from hook end of motor
assembly (E). Remove the other two motor mounting
screws (R) and motor mounting washers (S) from
underside of mounting bracket (A). Save for later use.
Note: Make sure to keep loose hardware separate to
avoid confusion during installation.
Lift motor assembly (E) to mounting bracket (A) and
slide hook end (with single screw hole) of motor
assembly (E) into square opening on mounting
bracket (A). This will allow for hands-free wiring.

WIRING

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury, wire connectors
provided with this fan are designed to accept only one 12-gauge house wire and two lead wires
from the fan. If your house wire is larger than 12-gauge or there is more than one house wire to
connect to the corresponding fan lead wires, consult an electrician for the proper size wire
connectors to use.
CAUTION: Be sure outlet box is properly grounded and that a ground (green or bare) wire is
present.
WARNING: If house wires are different colors than referred to in the following steps, stop
immediately. A professional electrician is recommended to determine wiring.
WARNING: Using a full range dimmer switch (not included) to control fan speed will cause a
loud humming noise from fan. To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do NOT use a full
range dimmer switch to control fan speed.
DANGER: If using this fan in a DAMP location, this fan must be connected to a supply circuit
that is protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) to reduce the risk of personal injury,
electrical shock or death.
1. Make the necessary wiring connections for remote
control operation according to Fig. 1.
Connect BLACK wire from motor assembly (E) to
BLACK wire from outlet box/ceiling. Connect WHITE
wire from motor assembly (E) to WHITE wire from
outlet box/ceiling. Connect GREEN wire from motor
assembly (E) and mounting bracket (A) to
BARE/GREEN wire from outlet box/ceiling.
For each wire connection, use one of the wire
connectors (BB), making sure to screw wire
connector (BB) on in a clockwise direction.
