4 | Installation

4.1 | Preparation

First jack up the vehicle securely in a well lit place. To install the gazzini Bar-End
Mirror you require a handlebar with freely accessible, open bar ends with an inner
diameter of 12 to 18 mm.
The existing mirror and any bar ends need be removed for installation purposes.

4.2 | Attaching the mirror

Next, unfasten the round-head screw (5) with a hexagon key (size 4) and remove
the mirror stem (6) from the bar end (2). Now select the clamping sleeve (3, large
or small) which best suits the inside diameter of the handlebar, and the appropriate
spacer (7). These are supplied with the mirror. Push the spacer (7) onto the clamping
sleeve (3) and position it on the bar end (2). Screw on the clamping sleeve (3) with
threaded cone (8) and pre-tighten so that the sleeve spreads a little but can still just
be pushed into the handlebar. It may be necessary to use the large clamping sleeve
(3) (included) in order to fi ll out the handlebar tube as fully as possible. Now push the
bar end (2) with the clamping sleeve (3) into the handlebar and align it. Now tighten
the cheese head screw (4) with a hexagon key (size 5).
CAUTION!
Risk of accident!
• Make sure that the throttle twistgrip on the motorcycle is not
blocked by the mirror stem (6) or bar end (2). There should be
2 mm clearance between the throttle twistgrip and the mirror

stem. The throttle twistgrip must turn easily and spring back by
itself when released.
Then insert the mirror stem (6) into the bar end (2), insert the round-head screw (5)
into the drilled hole and tighten it with a hexagon key (size 4) so that it can still
be moved a little. Then sit on your motorcycle and adjust the mirror on the mirror
housing (1) and on the mirror stem (6) until you have an optimal view of the road
behind you. Check again that the throttle twistgrip is not trapped on the right-hand
side. Now tighten the round-head screw (5) on the mirror stem (6). Make sure that
the mirror does not collide with anything when the steering is at full lock.

5 | Storage

Until you're ready to install the gazzini Mirror, keep it in its original packaging and store
in a place that is protected from weather and moisture.

6 | Cleaning and care

Use warm soapy water or motorcycle cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the gazzini
Mirror. Never use cleaners which may damage aluminium or plastic. Finally, apply
motorcycle wax polish to seal the surface of the mirror and protect it against the
weather. Take care not to get any wax on the mirror lens or plastic parts.

7 | Warranty

This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period begins
on the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear and tear, use for anything
other than the intended purpose, or damage caused by an accident, tampering or
attempted repairs by unauthorised persons or customer service departments.

8 | Disposal

Dispose of packaging material and the product itself in accordance
with applicable local regulations.
