To set the safety valve in place.
pressure (figure 10) and the third indicates improper operation of the cooker (figure 11).
Under normal cooking conditions, the third line of the pressure indicator will not be visible.
This line will only be exposed if the working valve becomes clogged (figure 11). If this occurs,
turn off the stovetop immediately and proceed with the quick or slow cool down, using
whichever method you prefer. See instructions under "Precautions" (page 23).
Before each use, always manually check that the pressure indicator
system pin can move freely (figure 13). If not, please contact
Tramontina's Customer Service or a Tramontina technical support
representative.
If the silicone cap of the pressure indicator pin is damaged during
use, follow the instructions below:
1 Working valve: (pressure release): This valve is triggered into action
when the cooker reaches its operating pressure (12 psi). It should be
wound down to the bottom for the correct working position.
Note: For proper operation of the cooker, the working valve does not have
to be moving, but the pressure must be released from the cooker evenly.
2 Pressure indicator system: the cooker has a visual system that
indicates the internal pressure status (figures 9, 10 and 11).
As the cooker heats up, the pressure indicator (red pin located on the
upper handle) will automatically rise. The first white line indicates
low pressure (figure 9), the second indicates normal operating
