2.1 Warnings
Consult restorative or cement IFU before use. Observe all Warnings for the selected material.
2.2 Precautions
This product is intended to be used only as specifically outlined in these Instructions for Use.
Any use of this product inconsistent with these Instructions for Use is at the discretion and sole
responsibility of the dental practitioner.
• Use protective eyewear, mask, clothing and gloves for the dental team and protective eyewear
for patients.
• The Capsule Extruder 2 is only intended to be used with Dentsply Sirona Surefil one™, Calibra
Bio and ChemFil
• Capsules are intended for single use only. Discard after use. Do not reuse.
• The material should extrude easily. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE. Excessive pressure
may cause the capsule to rupture.
• If material has started to set excessive pressure may result in rupture of the capsule.
• Please also refer to the Instructions for Use of the products used with this product.
• Interactions:
– None known.
2.3 Adverse reactions
• None known.
2.4 Storage conditions
Inadequate storage conditions may shorten the useful life and may lead to malfunction of the
product.
• The Capsule Extruder 2 should be disinfected/sterilized and dried prior to storage (see Hygiene
section 4).
• Store dry, at typical room temperature. Avoid temperature extremes.
• Protect from moisture or excessive humidity.

Step-by-step instructions

3.1 Application
1. Ensure capsule Extruder 2 plunger is retracted. The plunger is spring loaded and will retract
when the release button is pressed.
2. Activate capsule and mix in compatible capsule mixer according to the material's Instructions for
Use.
3. Immediately remove the capsule from the capsule mixer and place into the Capsule Extruder
2. The capsule may be rotated 360° to gain the proper angle of entrance into the cavity. Do not
apply excessive force.
4. Click the trigger of the Capsule Extruder 2 until paste is seen through the nozzle. Immediately
start dispensing as described in the material's Instructions for Use.
5. After application, press the release button of the Capsule Extruder 2 until the push rod releases.
Slightly rotating the capsule, the empty capsule can easily be removed.
