2.2. By the professional
Water heater and external aggregate must be turned off before opening. Do
not open the external aggregate's top cover before 10 minutes after turning the
appliance off. This serves to ensure the capacitors can run down.
2.2.1. Access to the water heater's components
 
Example floor-mounted tank. Proceed as described for wall-mounted appliances.
To remove the internal sealing plug
Loosen the locking screw
Pull internal sealing plug downward
To remove the front cover
Loosen the locking screw (left bottom side)
Slide cover downward (ca. 10mm)
Pull cover to the front towards you (watch the control cable!)
Fix cover with top screw
