THE ORDER FOR ASSEMBLY IS AS FOLLOWS
EN
1. Join the packing rod (78) to connecting rod (83) by: slide the
coupling cover (76) onto the connecting rod (83) with the open end
of the cover facing the packing rod (81), fit the two couplings (77),
one either side so that they fit into the groove in the packing rod
(78) and the groove in the connecting rod (83), slide the coupling
cover over the couplings, push the spring clip (53) into the hole in
the connecting rod until it clips into place and is not easily removed
(fig. 16).
2. Fit the guide (73), the O-ring (80) into the gland nut (74). Fit the
U-seal (75) with the U facing downwards. Fit the outlet body (81) to
gland nut (74) then fit and tighten the clamping ring (79) (fig. 16).

3. Reassamble the piston by: clip the piston ring (87) into its groove in
the lower piston (86), slide the seal (85) onto the lower piston (86)
with the open end of the U facing the upper piston (84), slide the
upper piston (84) onto the lower piston (86), and push the valve
(88) through the piston so that the steam passes through the hole
in the upper piston (84) (fig. 17).
Join the packing rod (81) to connecting rod (77) by: slide the coupling
cover (76) onto the connecting rod (83) with the open end of the cover
facing the piston, fit the two couplings (80), one either side so that they
fit into the groove in the connecting rod (83) and the groove in the
piston valve (88), slide the coupling cover (79) over the couplings (80),
push the spring clip (53) into the hole in the connecting rod (83) until
it clips into place and is not easily removed.
NOTE: If any of the spring clips will not hold onto the rods they should
be removed and 'close-up' slightly in a vice or pair of pliers. DO NOT
LEAVE THEM SO THEY CAN FALL OUT AS DAMAGE MAY OCCUR THO
THE PUMP.
