MOUNTING AND INITIAL SET-UP
7.1
INSERTING THE BACKUP BATTERY
The 9.6 V backup battery is used as a substitute power supply in the event of a mains
power failure. The battery is able to power the device for up to one day. The maximum
running time depends on the device settings (backlight, volume).
1. Open the cover on the rear of the device.
2. Insert the plug of the backup battery into the corresponding socket (7).
3. Insert the backup battery into the designated area (6) and fit the cover.
WARNING
There is a risk of explosion if the rechargeable battery is inserted incorrectly.
NOTICE
Malfunctions may occur if the device is operated without mains power and
using a deeply discharged backup battery. ECO mode is activated if the power
supply is insufficient (see Section 8.4). Only switch on the device once it has been
connected to the power supply.

by materials etc. during operation as this may lead to a build-up of heat and
possibly to a fire. Therefore, do not install the device in areas where there is a
risk of fire (e.g. hay and straw stores).
► Mount the device on a fireproof base.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Never expose the device to rain or other moisture to prevent the risk of electric
shock or fire. Do not allow the device to come into contact with water or moisture.
