OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
!
WARNING
DO NOT allow hands or feet to come in contact
with high pressure jets. High pressure jets can
and will cause very serious injuries to hands and
feet.
DO NOT allow inexperienced or untrained
operators to operate this equipment. If not
operated properly, this equipment can be
dangerous to the operator, bystanders or
property.
Safety glasses MUST be worn at all times when
working on or around the Envirojet High
Pressure Injection System.
BE SURE to follow all handling instructions for
all products to be injected and placed into the
tank.
NEVER pump fuel into the Turf–Truckster or the
Envirojet auxiliary engine fuel tank while either
engine is running.
NEVER attempt to operate Envirojet without
water in the tank. Immediate pump damage can
and will result.
NEVER operate the unit in temperatures below
32 F (1 C). BE SURE to winterize unit before
temperatures fall below freezing.
The Envirojet is designed to apply water based solu-
tions into the soil. The operator is to be seated in the
Turf–Truckster drivers seat and have the deck lowered
before operating the unit. The operator must make sure
all covers are in place and bystanders are at a safe dis-
tance before operating the unit.
The Envirojet 160 is designed for reliable operation and
easy–to–service components. In normal operation, the
160 gallon tank takes about 20 minutes to fill and 20
minutes to inject. If you have an unusual application with
a water source that allow you to run continuously, you
can expect wear and maintenance costs to increase
accordingly.
START–UP PROCEDURES
1. Check all fuel, oil and other fluid levels. Check oil
level in the high pressure pump by looking at the rear
sight gauge. If the oil level is correct the oil should be
centered in the sight gauge. If the oil appears milky
or foamy it is contaminated with water and needs to
be serviced. Overhaul the pump and replace the
faulty seals. Refill oil as needed with non detergent
30W oil. Check oil level using dipstick fitted in fill cap.
2. BE SURE all three (3) lubrication fittings on pivot
shaft (lift) and (2) lubrication fittings on idler arms
have been lubricated with a good lithium based
lubricant before starting.
3. Place the Turf–Truckster parking brake in the
engaged position.
4. Using the Turf–Truckster hydraulic control, raise the
deck assembly and lock in the "UP" position.
5. Turn the Turf–Truckster engine off and inspect the
injection manifold to insure all nozzles and
backpressure valves are secure. Inspect the nozzles
for clear opening at the orifice (hole) remove and
clean any nozzle that may appear clogged.
6. Inspect high pressure hoses and hydraulic hoses for
any damage. Replace any hose that show any signs
of wear.
7. Check for any signs of hydraulic oil leaks. Repair as
necessary.
