Prior to each operation, inspect the oil sight glass and
dipstick for proper oil level and quality. Never operate
pump with low or poor quality oil. If the oil appears milky
or foamy it is contaminated with water and needs to be
serviced. Overhaul the pump and replace the faulty
seals. Refill oil as needed with non detergent 30W oil.
Check oil level using dipstick fitted in fill cap.
Change the oil after the initial 50 hours of operation
(break–in period) and then every 100 hours or every
three
months
thereafter.
non–detergent oil.
Note the tone and sound level of the pump when new.
Any significant tone or sound level change indicates a
problem with the pump which needs immediate
attention.
The pump may leak a small amount of water when new,
after
extended
storage
replacement. This is a normal condition and the leak will
cease when the seals are "primed" (normally within 20
minutes). If the pump should continue to leak or develops
a leak during normal operation, the pump must be
overhauled and the seals replaced immediately.
Continuing to run a leaking pump can and will cause
severe damage to the pump.

AUXILIARY ENGINE
The auxiliary engine is located in the center of the rear
portion of the unit (refer to Figure 5). The engine is a 25
h.p. air cooled Kohler Command engine. The engine
serial number nameplate is located in front of the right
valve cover. Refer to engine manual for service. A spark
arrestor (Part No. 700263) is available for the muffler.

INJECTION MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY
The injection manifold should be adjusted to provide 3/8"
(9.7 mm) clearance between nozzles and the ground.
Loosen and adjust two (2) bolts on each end bracket.
POWER BRUSH
The power brush has five (5) rotating brushes and a
single fixed brush on both the leading and trailing edges.
The rotating brushes are driven by a hydraulic motor
mounted on top of the brush cover. The hydraulic power
is supplied by the Turf–Truckster live hydraulics. The
correct rotation of the brushes is indicated by an arrow
on the chain cover above the left brush (the left brush
turns counterclockwise). The power brush mounting
brackets have slots to provide for some float. The front
of the rotating brush should be approximately 1/8" (3
mm) higher than the rear. The front mounts are
positioned 1/8" (3 mm) higher than the rear mounts so
the proper slope is achieved when all the notches are set
the same.
COVERS
All components using belts, pulleys or chains are
protected with covers. This is a safety feature that
prevents hands, loose clothing or similar objects from
becoming entangled in chains, pulleys or belts.
!
WARNING
NEVER operate this equipment with any of the
machine covers removed. Leaving a cover off
creates a very dangerous situation which can
result in very serious injuries and/or death.
DECK LOCK
The Envirojet is equipped with a locking mechanism to
hold the deck in the "UP" or raised position. It is very
important to lock the deck when transporting. The deck
lock MUST also be used when servicing nozzles.
