!
WARNING
The rear cover must be removed to access the
regulator/unloader knob which is located below
the left rear corner of the tank. BE SURE to keep
hair, hands or loose clothing away from any
moving parts while making this adjustment.
Replace the cover before operating the wand
accessory or the Envirojet.
Releasing the trigger lock and squeezing the trigger fully
on the gun will start the flow through the nozzle and bring
the system pressure (read on the control panel gauge)
up to that set by the regulator/unloader. While continuing
to squeeze the trigger, the regulator/unloader knob can
be rotated counterclockwise to decrease pressure or
clockwise to increase pressure. DO NOT attempt to
exceed 3200 psi––you could damage the valve or get
pressure dumping from the injection manifold. If
operating at a low pressure, the auxiliary engine can be
throttled down to the desired RPM. When the trigger is
released the system pressure will drop to a moderate
pressure and the auxiliary engine can be shut off.
!
WARNING
Activate the trigger lock before setting down or
storing
the wand to prevent fluid from
accidentally discharging from the nozzle and
severely injuring you or bystanders.
To resume injection, make sure the bypass valve on the
control panel is rotated counterclockwise to the
recirculation mode and the wand valve is rotated
clockwise to close.
The soap injector allows liquid to be siphoned from the
container stored in the soap carrier (other chemicals can
be siphoned through the system, however, it is not
practical to set the dilution rate to a known value easily).
Set the container to be injected in the soap carrier, punch
out or drill a hole in the cap and insert the clear plastic
hose through the cap to the bottom of the container. It
may be necessary to pierce a vent hole if the hose fits the
cap too snugly. To switch to the soap injection mode,
activate the trigger lock and turn the adjustable nozzle
valve at the end of the wand counterclockwise. This will
change the spray mode from high pressure spray to
moderate pressure shower.
!
WARNING
NEVER adjust the nozzle valve unless the
trigger lock is activated to prevent fluid from
accidentally discharging from the nozzle and
severely injuring you or bystanders.
14
When the trigger is squeezed in the shower mode, soap
will be siphoned from the container. To stop siphoning
soap, activate the trigger lock and turn the adjustable
nozzle valve clockwise to close the shower head. The
soap injector has a knurled knob that can be adjusted to
control or prevent the flow of soap (clockwise to reduce
flow or close).
ACCESSORIES
Several accessories are available to enhance the utility
of the Envirojet 160 including:
High pressure wand (Part No. 893924)
Lift/storage rack (Part No. 892493)
Storage jack set (Part No. 894144)
Anti–siphon tank filler (Part No. 894305)
20 cu. in. accumulator (Part No. 894145)
1 quart accumulator (Part No. 893942)
Fuel Tank (Part No. 894092)
Heavy Duty Leaf Spring Accessory (Part No.
894236) or dealer installed Modification 53601 for
the Cushman Turf–Truckster
STORAGE
When storing unit in areas subject to freezing
temperatures, you MUST complete the following
procedure:
BE SURE all water is removed from the system. Drain
tank, close drain valve and run the pump for no more than
fifteen (15) seconds to purge the trapped water from the
head. Place a 50%–50% environmentally safe (i.e.
Sierra) antifreeze to distilled water mixture in the system
to prevent any possibility of freezing. Run in recirculation
mode for 30 seconds, open drain cock at relief valve until
anti–freeze is present and pulse system until anti–freeze
is present. If your unit is equipped with a wand accessory,
circulate anti–freeze through that part of the system also.
NOTICE
S
DO NOT allow the deck brushes to set on or against
any object in such a manner that the brush bristles
are bent under the weight of the deck. This will lead
to permanent deformation of the bristles and inferior
brush performance. Lock the deck in the raised
position or lower the rollers onto 2" x 4" or similar
sized boards to support the weight of the deck.
To remove the unit from the Turf–Truckster, reverse the
procedure used in the set–up instructions included with
the unit. The deck can be left attached to the tank/engine
frame but the hydraulic cylinder MUST be completely
lowered to avoid a weight shift that could tip the unit.
