OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
Lining up the peg and the groove, insert the plug and
screw it in well clockwise.
Invert the connections so that the electrode is
connected to the "-" terminal and the clamp cable is
connected to the "+" terminal when welding using
negative polarity DC current.
Set the welding current according to the diameter of
the electrode and the thickness of the workpiece.
While welding, the following features come into effect:
Arc Force: A temporary increase in the initial welding
current to ensure the generation of an arc quickly and
reliably.
Antisticking Device: A device that switches off the
output current if the operator makes a mistake and the
electrode gets stuck to the workpiece.
The electrode can be removed from its clamp without
igniting fl ames that could damage.
7. TIG WELDING INSTRUCTIONS
Fig.4
The TIG torch cable should be inserted into the
negative terminal socket on the unit. The earth clamp
cable should be connected to the positive terminal
socket.
At this point the welding current can be selected using
the regulator located on the front panel of the unit.
The diameter of the electrode and the welding current
value should be selected according to the thickness of
the workpiece.

Argon gas must be used for
TIG welding.
Connect the gas pressure
regulator to the cylinder,
then connect the TIG torch
gas hose to the pressure
regulator.
TIG welding is usually per-
formed using negative po-
larity DC current
(See "-" Fig. 4).
8. ARC GENERATION
Fig.5
After opening the gas supply using the tap on the
torch grip, regulate its fl ow via the tap on the gas
cylinder (appr. 6 litres per min.).
Place the ceramic tip of the torch onto the workpie-
ce (Fig. 6, Step 1). Using a circular movement,
place the tungsten electrode on the workpiece
(Fig. 6, Step 2).

To generate the arc, move the electrode a few
millimetres away (Fig. 6, Step 3). During the entire
welding process maintain the same distance
from thewelding pool that has been created.
