3.5 Replacing cylinder for locking verti-
cal rod
1. Disconnect the machine from the compressed air
supply.
2. Remove the locking system cover (A). To so so remove
the bolts (B).

3. Disconnect the compressed air hose (C) from the
cylinder for locking the vertical rod (D).

4. Remove the self-locking nut (F) located above the
locking cylinder of the vertical rod.

5. Raise the vertical rod (or tool column) and hold in
raised position. Then unscrew the bolt (E) at the bot-
tom at the vertical rod locking cylinder.

! ATTENTION: To avoid damage or injury, make sure
the vertical rod is held in the raised position before
unscrewing the bolt at the bottom at the vertical rod
locking cylinder.
6. Remove the vertical rod locking cylinder (D). To do so,
remove the upper cap and the bolts connecting the
cylinder to the sliding arm.
7. Fit the new vertical rod locking cylinder and tighten
the lower bolt (E).
8. Tighten the self-locking nut (F) located above the lock-
ing cylinder of the vertical rod.
9. Connect the compressed air hose (C) to the cylinder
for locking the vertical rod.
10. Connect the compressed air supply.
