Adjusting vertical distances

1. Detach the cover (E) from the locking system.

2. Localize the locking nut (F) at the front of the hori-
zontal sliding arm.
3. Use the locking nut to adjust the vertical distances
(X) and (Z) between the mounting head and the edge
of the rim.
4. Turn the locking nut in the required direction and re-
peatedly check the distance produced.
5. Repeat the operation until the required distance is
obtained.

Adjusting position of tool column

If the tire has a tendency to slip off the tool during mount-
ing, the position of the tool column with respect to the
rim has to be adjusted.
i It is advisable to make use of spacers to adjust the
distances between the tool column and rim.
1. Slacken off but do not remove the locking bolt (A)
beneath the tool (B).
2. Unfasten the two front pins (C) and the two side pins
(D).

3. Position the mounting head up against the edge of the
rim (roller and surface making contact).

4. Tighten the two front pins (C) and make sure the
horizontal distance (Y) has not changed.
i If the horizontal distance (Y) does not correspond
to the value in Tab. 5, adjust the horizontal distance
again (6.4.1).

5. Use the two side pins (D) to adjust the distances (X)
and (Z) until the desired inclination is achieved.
6. Tighten the two side pins (D).
7. Check the distances again.
8. Screw the locking bolt (A) back in and tighten.
