Connection with a television via S-VHS cable
If your television does not have a SCART connection, you can connect it
via an S-VHS cable to the unit (S-VIDEO socket). This will give you good
image quality.
No connection to the television is necessary to play sound, as the sound is
transferred to the loudspeakers. If you still want to transfer the sound to
the television, use an additional Audio-Cinch cable as shown.
Connection with the television via Video-Cinch cable
If your television has neither a SCART connection nor an S-VIDEO socket,
you can still connect the unit via a Video-Cinch cable.
If you use the Audio-Cinch cable as well, for stereo sound switch off all
loudspeakers except the front two, using the SETUP menu (see "AUDIO
SETUP", p. 20 )

Connect the S-VIDEO-IN socket of
the television with the S-VIDEO
socket of the unit.
Audio-Cinch cable (sound
transmission – optional): If you
wish to transfer the sound to the
television, connect the television
AUDIO-IN sockets with the AUDIO-
OUT sockets from the unit.
Video-Cinch cable (Transfer of
image): Connect the VIDEO-IN
socket from the television or video-
recorder with the VIDEO socket
from the unit.
