Audio CDs

Insert an audio-CD. On the screen, the following is displayed briefly
A U D I O - C D
. Playing starts automatically. The structure of the display is
as shown adjacent.
The functions available for a music CD are shown below.
PLAY, PAUSE, STOP
PAUSE
: interrupts playing; and the time in the display freezes. With
PAUSE or PLAY
you continue from the same position.
Press STOP
: once to interrupt playing; the overall time and the
number of titles appear on the display. With PLAY
from the same position.
Press STOP twice to stop playing (Stop mode). Use PLAY
start the CD from the beginning.
Search functions –SKIP/SEARCH/SLOW
SKIP with button STATION
forwards. Press SKIP
SEARCH Press this button TUNING
CD at double, fourfold, eightfold or 16-fold speed backwards or
forwards. The speed step appears on the screen. – Press the button
once more to return to normal speed.
SLOW REW or FF : Press this button repeatedly to run the CD at half,
quarter, eighth, or sixteenth speed backwards or forwards. The slow
motion symbol and the speed step appear on the screen. – Press
SLOW REW or FF once more to return to normal speed.

RANDOM and INTRO functions

RANDOM:
starts playing in a random sequence (from the next title). The
following appears in the display RANDOM, on the screen briefly
R A N D O M – press RANDOM again for normal play.
The RANDOM function does not work with MP3-CDs.
INTRO with button BAND/DIGEST : Every title on the disc is played for
six seconds. On the screen appears S C A N – press BAND/DIGEST again
for normal play.
Repeat functions – REPEAT
REPEAT
Press REPEAT once during play: repeats the current title endlessly. On
the screen appears
Press REPEAT twice: repeats the whole CD endlessly. On the screen
A L L ; in the display REPEAT .

Press REPEAT again for normal playback.
REPEAT A-B
Press REPEAT A-B once during play to define the start of a sequence to
be repeated. On the screen appears
Press REPEAT A-B again to define the end of a sequence to be repeated.
On the screen appears
sequence is played immediately ad infinitum.
Press REPEAT A-B again for normal play.
