The pre-settings which you

The AUDIOMENU function is
not however possible with
every DVD.

AUDIO
This is where one of the languages on the DVD is selected.
You may choose between English, French, Spanish, German, Italian,
Dutch and Japanese.
SUBTITLE
This is where you can select a language for the subtitles which are on the
DVD.
You may choose between English, French, Spanish, German, Italian,
Dutch and Japanese.
With selection O F F :no subtitles are displayed.
DISC MENU
This is where you can select the language of the menus on the DVD (see
"TITLE MENU, DVD MENU", p. 31), as long as they are available on the
disc.
You may choose between English, French, Spanish, German, Italian,
Dutch and Japanese.
PARENTAL
This is where you can set the classification types for DVDs (Parent control).
Some DVDs and CDs are equipped with locking codes according to
classifications established by the Motion Picture Association. The eight
classification types are:
1 K I D S A F :
2 G :
3 P G :
4 P G 1 3 :
5 P G R :
6 R :
7 N C 1 7 :
8 A D U L T :
O F F :
If a DVD has been coded e. g. with classification 7 (NC 17) or 8 (ADULT),
and you have set one of the classification types between 1 and 6, then a
message is displayed, and the password must be entered.
PASSWORD
You can enter a password here to control the access for other people
To change the password, confirm the option P A S S W O R D C H A N G E .
Another menu opens:
O L D P A S S W O R D
("kid safe") suitable for small children;
("General") for all age groups;
("Parental Guidance") parental supervision
recommended;
parental supervision strongly recommended,
some scenes not suitable for young people under the age
of 13;
("Parental Guidance Restriction") parental supervision
recommended for young people under the age of 17;
("Restriction") parental supervision strongly
recommended for young people under the age of 17;
not for young people under the age of 17;
for adults only.
Parental control inactive.
: Use the number pad of the remote control to
enter the existing password. It consists of four
figures exactly. If you have not set a password, the
