Assembly with handrails
- Position the left handrail 6301210800001S (12) and right handrail
6301210900001S (13).
- Insert the spacer 8.5x20x13.3 (4) (included with back plate) and spacer
8.5x20x5.4 (5) (included with back plate) at the front.
- Insert washer A8.4 (6) (included with back plate) at the rear.
- Position the back plate (1) (included with back plate) and mount it using
the front screws M8x65 (included with back plate, pos. A) and rear screws
M8x55 (included with back plate, pos. B) (25 Nm, Loctite 243).
Assembly with handrails and with the luggage rack system
- Insert the spacer 12x8.4x5mm (included with luggage rack system
62012020000) at the front.
- Insert the washer A13 (included with luggage rack system 62012020000)
at the front.
- Insert the left and right fixing plates2 (included with luggage rack system
62012020000) at the front.
NOTE:
For further assembly steps for the luggage rack system, see the manual inclu-
ded with the luggage rack system
- Insert the spacer 12x8.4x5mm (included with luggage rack system
62012020000) at the rear.
- Insert the spacer 20x12.5.x8mm (included with luggage rack system
62012020000) at the rear.
- Position the left handrail 6301210800001S (12) and right handrail
6301210900001S (13).
- Insert the spacer 8.5x20x13.3 (4) (included with back plate) and spacer
8.5x20x5.4 (5) (included with back plate) at the front.
- Insert the rear washer (6).
- Position the back plate (1) (included with back plate) and mount it using
the front screws M8x75 (included, pos. A) and rear screws M8x65 (inclu-
ded with back plate, pos. B) (25 Nm, Loctite 243).
Adventure preassembly
- Remove the screws (14) and (15).
- Remove the original back plate (16).
NOTE:
The back plate can also be mounted with the optionally available luggage
rack system 60112020000 (for assembly, see the luggage rack system
instructions).
Adventure assembly
- Insert the spacer 8.5x20x13.3 (5) (included with back plate) at the front.
- Insert washer A8.4 (6) (included with back plate) at the rear.
- Position the back plate (1) (included with back plate) and mount it using
the front screws M8x75 (included, pos. A) and rear screws M8x55 (inclu-
ded with back plate, pos. B) (25 Nm, Loctite 243).
