BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER
FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The intended user should be a licensed medical professional, the patient or
the patient's caregiver. The user should be able to read, understand and be
physically capable of performing the directions, warnings and cautions in
the information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS: The Procare Humeral Fracture Brace (Over
the Shoulder) is designed to provide support to the humerus following
stable humeral diaphyseal fractures, prophylactic application after removal
of internal fixation. Soft-good/semi-rigid designed to restrict motion
through elastic or semi-rigid construction.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Sit down in a chair. Place the stockinette over the upper arm so it
extends over the shoulder. Fig 1
2. Loosen the two hook and loop straps on the brace. Place the long
shoulder strap around your neck. Fig 2 Slide the brace on your arm up
to your shoulder. Fig 3
3. The cap of the brace should fit comfortably over the shoulder. Tighten
straps beginning with the strap closest to the elbow then the upper
strap. The straps should be cinched to produce a snug, comfortable fit.

4. Once the two straps on the brace are snug, loop the long strap located
at the top of the brace under the uninjured arm. Fig 5
5. Straps should be adjusted throughout the day to ensure the snug fit is
properly maintained.

WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS:
•If you develop an allergic reaction and/or experience itchy, red skin after
coming into contact with any part of this device, please stop using it and
contact your healthcare professional immediately.
•Excessive tightening of the brace straps may compromise circulation. If
tingling or numbness is experienced, loosen straps.
•Do not use over open wounds.
•If pain, swelling, changes in sensation or other unusual reactions occur
while using this product, you should contact your medical professional
immediately.
•Do not use this device if it is damaged and/or the packaging has been
opened.
NOTE: Contact manufacturer and competent authority in case of a
serious incident arising due to usage of this device.
USE AND CARE:
• Remove the brace while seated.
• The brace may be washed using a mild detergent in warm water. Rinse
thoroughly and towel dry.
• The stockinette may be washed in warm water with a mild detergent.
After thorough rinsing, allow the stockinette to air dry.
• Be sure you bathe with the brace on. Once you have dried off and are
5 seated then: remove the brace, dry it off, apply a dry stockinette, reapply
the brace.
WARRANTY: DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its
accessories for material or workmanship defects for a period of six months
from the date of sale.

PERFIL DEL USUARIO PREVISTO:
El usuario previsto debe ser un profesional médico autorizado, el paciente
o el cuidador del paciente. El usuario debe poder leer, comprender
y ser físicamente capaz de seguir todas las instrucciones, advertencias
y precauciones proporcionadas en la información de uso.
USO PREVISTO/INDICACIONES: El soporte para fracturas de húmero
Procare (sobre el hombro) está diseñado para proporcionar soporte al
húmero tras fracturas diafisiales humerales estables, uso preventivo
después de la extracción de la fijación interna. Producto blando/semirrígido
diseñado para restringir el movimiento a través de una estructura elástica
o semirrígida.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA SU APLICACIÓN:
1. Siéntese en una silla. Coloque la venda sobre la parte superior del
brazo de manera tal que se extienda sobre el hombro. Fig 1
2. Afloje las dos correas de velcro del dispositivo. Coloque la correa larga
del hombro alrededor del cuello. Fig 2 Deslice el dispositivo en su
brazo hasta el hombro. Fig 3
3. La parte superior del dispositivo debe ajustarse cómodamente sobre
el hombro. Aprete las correas comenzando por la que está más cerca
del codo y luego la correa superior. Las correas deben cincharse para
obtener un ajuste ceñido y cómodo. Fig 4
4. Una vez que las dos correas del dispositivo estén ajustadas, ate la
correa larga situada en la parte superior del dispositivo debajo del
brazo no lesionado. Fig 5
5. Las correas deben ajustarse durante el día para garantizar que estén
bien ceñidas.

ADVERTENCIAS Y PRECAUCIONES:
•Si tiene una reacción alérgica o experimenta picazón y la piel se enrojece
después de entrar en contacto con cualquier parte de este dispositivo, deje
de usarlo y póngase en contacto inmediatamente con su profesional de
salud.
•Si las correas de la abrazadera se aprietan demasiado, pueden poner
en riesgo la circulación. Si siente cosquilleo o entumecimiento, afloje las
correas.
•No debe aplicarse sobre heridas abiertas.
•Si sufre algún dolor, inflamación, alteración de la sensación o cualquier
otra reacción poco frecuente al utilizar este producto, póngase en
contacto con su médico inmediatamente.
•No utilice el dispositivo si está dañado y/o si el empaque está abierto.
NOTA: Comuníquese con el fabricante y la autoridad competente en caso
de un incidente grave que surja debido al uso de este dispositivo.
USO Y CUIDADO:
• Retire el dispositivo mientras está sentado.
• El dispositivo puede lavarse con un detergente suave en agua tibia.
Enjuáguelo bien y séquelo con una toalla.
• La venda puede lavarse con agua tibia con un detergente suave. Después
de enjuagar bien, deje que la venda se seque al aire.
• Asegúrese de bañarse con el dispositivo colocado. Una vez que usted se
haya secado y esté sentado: retire el dispositivo, séquelo, colóquese una
venda y vuelva a colocar el dispositivo.
GARANTÍA: DJO, LLC reparará o sustituirá toda o parte de la unidad y
sus accesorios por defectos de material o mano de obra durante los seis
meses siguientes a la fecha de venta.
