Before Use
Unpacking your SDS+ Drill Set
Ensure that all parts of your drill set are present and in good condition.
If any part is missing or damaged, do not use the product. Obtain a
replacement from your retailer.
Remove all packaging materials and fully familiarise yourself with all
features of the product before use.
The battery is supplied partially charged, Before using your drill for the
first time, fully charge the battery. See 'Charging the lithium-ion battery'
for guidance.
Operating Instructions
Fitting and changing accessories
Pull back the Chuck Sleeve (2).
Insert SDS+ drill bit / accessory fully into the Chuck (1).
Use a twisting motion to line up the grooves in the accessory.
Release the chuck sleeve.
Check the accessory is secure by pulling it firmly away from the drill. It
should not release.
To remove the accessory, slide back the Chuck Sleeve (2) and pull firmly
on the accessory.
Fitting the keyless chuck adaptor and non-SDS+ bits/
accessories
Pull back the Chuck Sleeve (2).
Insert Adaptor (12) fully into the Chuck (1).
Use a twisting motion to line up the grooves if necessary.
Release the chuck sleeve.
Check the adaptor is secure by pulling it firmly away from the drill. It
should not release.
To fit an accessory, rotate the adaptor sleeve to open the chuck as far
as needed.
Insert accessory into the chuck.
Rotate the adaptor sleeve to tighten the chuck.
Check the accessory is secure by pulling it firmly away from the drill. It
should not release.
Selecting forward or reverse rotation
Use the Forward/Reverse Selector (6) to select forward or reverse action.
The Forward/Reverse Indicator (5) displays the direction when you
squeeze the trigger.

Selecting drill or hammer action
Use the Drill/Hammer Selection Lever (3).
Push the lever forward to the hammer icon to select hammer action.
Push the lever back to driver icon to select drill action.

Operating the drill

Hold the drill firmly by the Handle (8).
Hold the Brace (9) with your other hand for a secure grip on the machine.
Squeeze the Trigger (7) with an even pressure.
You can control the speed by the amount you squeeze the trigger.
Charging the lithium-Ion battery
The Battery Charge Level Indicator (4) displays the amount of charge
in the battery when you squeeze the trigger and when the battery is on
charge.
You can put the battery on charge at any point without reducing its
service life. Interrupting the charging procedure does not damage the
battery.
Re-charge the drill when only one LED is illuminated in the Battery
Charge Level Indicator (4).
Insert the charger connection into the Charge Connection Point (10).
Insert the Charger Plug (11) into a suitable socket and switch the socket
on.
During the charging procedure the handle gets warm. This is normal.
You can not use the drill whilst it is on charge.
When all four LEDs are illuminated, the battery is fully charged.
Do not leave the battery on continuous charge.
Maintenance
Disconnect the charger before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning.
Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause the
machines internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the machine's
service life.
Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If
available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation
holes.
Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn.
Excessively worn brushes may cause; loss of power, intermittent failure,
or visible sparking. If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have
them replaced at an authorised service centre.
Storage
Do not store this tool on charge.
Store this tool in a dry, secure place.
Disposal
Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic
equipment, with household waste.
Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the proper
way to dispose of tools.
