16) must be detached by turning the ribbed support (I) (Fig. 16) anti-clockwise.
13. CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND SPARE PARTS
Heat-proof gloves must be worn when using the machine.
To obtain good heat performance, the glue tank must be kept in perfect condition;
it should therefore be cleaned regularly and encrusted glue must be removed.
To clean the tank, turn on switch (B) (Fig. 3) until the glue has melted, tilt the
machine slightly and clean out any remains of glue using a spatula.
Re-aligning the pressure roller
The pressure roller is aligned parallel to the gluing roller in the factory. If for
any reason the alignment requires re-adjusting, loosen knobs (F) (Fig. 5) to
free the pressure roller (G) (Fig. 5) and adjust the screws (H) (Fig. 5) using the
service spanner, until the required alignment is obtained. The pressure roller
(G) (Fig. 5) must be aligned with the press assembly (I) (Fig. 5) in the working
position, i.e. unlocked.
Once alignment is complete, the edge thickness should be adjusted, as explained
in section 10 of this manual.
Replacing the pressure roller
To change the pressure roller (G) (Fig. 5) when it has become too worn or
damaged, move the press assembly (I) (Fig. 7) until it is locked into its lower
position. Loosen (F) (Fig. 5), remove the worn roller, replace it with a new one
and then adjust the edge thickness, as explained in section 10 of this manual.
14. NOISE LEVEL
The measured noise level values are emission levels and do not necessarily reflect
a safe working level. Factors influencing the real noise exposure level experienced
by the operator include the exposure duration, characteristics of the location,
other sources of emission, such as the number of machines installed, etc.
The noise from this machine has been measured according to regulation ISO-DIS
230-5. The noise level at the work station may exceed 85 dB(A). In this case, the
machine operator should take protective measures against noise.
Other factors that reduce noise exposure are:
• Selecting the correct tool.
• Adequate tool and machine maintenance.
• The use of appropriate hearing protection systems.
15. GUARANTEE
All VIRUTEX machines are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of supply,
excluding any damage resulting from incorrect use or natural wear and tear
on the machine. All repairs should be carried out by VIRUTEX technical assis-
tance service.
16. RECYCLING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Never dispose of electrical equipment with domestic waste. Recycle equipment,
accessories and packaging in ways that minimise any adverse effect on the
environment. Comply with the current regulations in your country.

1. La manipulation de la machine doit être réalisée avec des vêtements de
protection appropriés contre la chaleur.
2. Toujours maintenir les mains éloignées du rouleau encolleur et des zones
chauffantes.
3. Ne jamais annuler un mécanisme de sécurité de la machine, sous aucun prétexte.
4. Toujours conserver le câble d'alimentation en bon état.
5. Débrancher la machine du secteur, avant toute opération d'entretien.
6. Ne jamais abandonner la machine avant l'arrêt complet de ses parties mobiles.
7. Pièces de rechange: n'utiliser que des pièces de rechange d'origine.

3. ÉQUIPEMENT STANDARD

(Fig. 15), 3 tiges chants rigides (H1) (Fig. 14), 1 seau distributeur de colle, ce
manuel d'instructions et différents documents.
4. INSTALLATION
Choisir un endroit sur un banc ou une table de travail convenablement dégagé,
pour permettre la manipulation du chant sans obstacles et, si necessaire, niveler
la machine à l'aide des pieds (S) (Fig. 3) pour qu'elle soit parfaitement stable.
Voir l'espace occupé par la préencolleuse représenté (Fig. 15).
5. ASSEMBLAGE DES PORTE-BOBINES, CAPACITÉ
Retirer les vis C et G et les rondelles B et F (Fig. 1 et 2), en tenant le tube E (Fig.
2) pour qu'il ne tombe pas.
Monter les porte-bobines A et D (Fig. 8), en tenant le tube séparateur E (Fig. 8)
dans l'axe du porte-bobines D (Fig. 8) et les fixer au support à l'aide des vis C
et G et des rondelles B et F, comme il est indiqué (Fig. 8).
