OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

All of the control functions can be accessed in 2 ways:
1. Using the remote control (Q).
2. Using the manual controls located behind the access panel on the top right side of the insert (P).
This insert (P) features separate controls for the flame effect and for heat control. This feature
allows you to operate the unit in 2 different ways:
• As a full featured insert with both the flame effect and heater on.
• As a visual effect with the flame effect only.
Refer to the illustrations for location of the buttons on both the remote control unit and the
fireplace insert.
MANUAL CONTROLS
The manual controls are located on the insert (P)
behind the upper front access panel.
The main safety switch should be in the
ON position when the insert (P) is removed from
the carton. Make sure the main safety switch is ON
when you plug in the insert (P).
1. ON/OFF: Press the master power switch (1a).
Press ON/OFF button (1b) to turn the flame
effect (only) on. To turn the insert off, press
the button again.
2. FLAME EFFECT: Press to achieve
the desired effect with no heat.
3. HEATING: Press the heat button
(third button) for low heat; press
the fourth button for high heat.

REMOTE CONTROLS

1. ON/OFF: Press the master power switch on the insert (P) .
Press the ON/OFF button on the remote control (Q) to turn
the flame effect (only) on. To turn the insert off, press the
button again.
2. FLAME EFFECT: Press to achieve the desired
effect with no heat.
3. HEATING: Press the heat button (3a) for low heat; press
the high heat button (3b) for high heat.
