PREPARATION

Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package
contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to
assemble the product. Two people are required to assemble this product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 30-60 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, drill and 3/16 in. drill bit.
Before assembly, use scissors to unwrap the parts from the packaging. Do not use a box cutter or
blade-knife as you may cut into the mantel pieces inside the box and damage the finish. Do not
discard any pieces -- the remote is packaged INSIDE the styrofoam packaging.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

A 15-amp, 120-volt, 60 Hz circuit with a properly grounded outlet is required to operate this appliance.
Preferably, the fireplace insert will be on a dedicated circuit as other appliances on the same circuit
may cause the circuit breaker to trip or the fuse to blow when the heater is in operation. The unit
comes standard with a 6.1 ft. (1.85 m) long 3-wire cord, exiting out the back of the insert. Plan the
installation to avoid the use of an extension cord. If an extension cord must be used, it must be a
minimum 14-gauge, 3-wire with grounding-type plug and connector and rated not less than 1,875
watts. The extension cord shall not be more than 20 ft. (6 m) in length.
WARNING: Electrical outlet wiring must comply with local building codes and other applicable
regulations to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons.
WARNING: Do not use this insert if any part of it has been under water. Immediately call a qualified
service technician to inspect the firebox and replace any part of the electrical system that has been
under water.
