Ventilation
Fig. 3
The air on the rear panel of the appliance
heats up. Conduction of the heated air
must not be obstructed. Otherwise, the
refrigerator must work harder. This
increases power consumption. Therefore:
Never cover or block ventilation openings!
Switching on the
appliance
Rotate the temperature selector, Fig. 2/2,
from position 0". The appliance begins to
cool. Interior light is switched on when the
door is open.

Selecting the
temperature
We recommend a medium setting of
+4 °C.
Perishable food should not be stored
warmer than +4 °C.
Rotate temperature selector, Fig. 2/2, to
a setting. Higher settings denote lower
temperatures in the refrigerator and
freezer compartments.
We recommend:
S for short term storage of food in the
freezer compartment: low setting
(energy saving mode, e. g. 1 2)
S for long term storage of food and for
freezing fresh food: medium setting
(e. g. 2 3)
S select a higher setting (e. g. 4 5) only
temporarily, if: high ambient
temperature, door opened frequently,
large amounts of food placed in the
refrigerator compartment
Refrigerating capacity
The temperature in the refrigerator
compartment may rise temporarily if
loaded with fairly large amounts of food.
Therefore the temperature selector should
be rotated to a higher setting (e. g. setting
4) for 7 hours.
