6. General Cutting
a. Unplug the saw from the power source.
b . Ensure that the workpiece is firmly clamped in place.
c . Use the appropriate type and size of blade for the
workpiece material and size.
d . Check for clearance behind the workpiece to ensure
that the blade will not impact another surface.
e . Mark the cutting line clearly. If cutting metal, apply
cutting oil to the line.
f. Connect the saw to an electrical outlet.
g. Hold the saw firmly in front of yourself and away from
you.
noTe: The barrel-style grip of this saw is designed for
one-handed use only. Keep your other hand away from
the saw and the cutting area of the workpiece.
h. Press the trigger switch (F) to turn the saw on and
allow the saw blade (B) to reach full cutting speed.
i . Place the shoe (A) firmly against the workpiece.
j. Move the blade into the workpiece. Use only enough
pressure to keep the saw cutting.
noTe: Do not force the saw. Use only enough pressure
to keep the saw cutting. Let the blade and saw do the
work. Press the shoe against the workpiece throughout
the cut.
