Brake bleeding device BEG 210

General information

The new electrical brake bleeding device is state-of-the-art. It is used in the field of maintenance of hydraulic
brake and clutch systems. The mechanics itself (which complies with the requirements) can perform this task.
For all ABS and hydraulic clutch systems
The device is very solid and can be used universally. The handling of the device is very simple.
Any mechanic working with the device must be instructed. Make the instructions for the use of the device in
form of operating instructions.
By using a standardised brake fluid container it is possible to perform several changing processes of brake
fluid without refilling. The device was tested according to the required legal criteria and the following marks of
conformity are applied on the device:
The necessary declaration of conformity is available for this type of device!
Important!
Soiled brake fluid containing water can cause a failure of the hydraulic brake system. Therefore, only use
brake fluid of the original filled brake fluid containers. The hygroscopic properties of the brake fluid advance
the absorption of humidity from the air. The humidity dangerously reduces the boiling point of the brake fluid.
The brake application causes high temperatures in the braking system generating boiling beads in the brake
fluid that are interspersed with humidity. Such boiling beads might make another brake application
impossible. Electrolytic processes of brake fluid containing water cause corrosions within the brake system.
Boiling beads or air bubbles already include corrosion since the air bubbles convey oxygen. Therefore, it is
recommended to replace the brake fluid in hydraulic brake systems by new brake fluid every year resp. every
15'000 km.
Always press the used brake fluid out of the unit when replacing the brake fluid in hydraulic units by filling in
the new brake fluid.
Commissioning
1. Completely remove the whole plastic closure from the brake fluid container (metal can). Then insert the
hydraulic suction unit into the brake fluid container.
2. Afterwards press the sealing cone on the brake fluid container. The sealing cone is pressed onto the
container by means of a red holder in order to secure it. To do so, the red holder is passed via the cone
between the tubes of the suction unit and fixed in the two oblong holes by means of screws.
3. Connect the electrical power cable to the power connection using a properly installed socket (230 V).
4. In order to guarantee a bubble-free brake fluid passage it is necessary to bleed the empty fitting after each
replacement of the brake fluid container. To do so, plug the filling hose (quick-action clutch) on the plug
connection which is applied to the device. Afterwards switch on the device for about 30 seconds and
switch to the mode passage. Finally switch off the device and disconnect the quick connect from the plug
connection.
Then the device is ready for operation!
5. Mount the adapter on the compensation tank of the main cylinder and connect the filling hose of the
quick-action clutch on the plug connection of the adapter.
6. Switch on the device by pressing the electrical ON/OFF switch. Switch setting to 1. The operating pressure
manometer indicates 2 bars. If this is not the case, set the correct operating pressure on the pressure
reducer by adjusting the regulating screw cap.
7. Perform bleeding resp. replacement of brake fluid properly.
Imperatively observe the proceeding prescribed by the corresponding manufacturer. This particular
applies for bleeding vehicles with ABS systems.
8. After bleeding or changing the brake fluid switch off the ON/OFF switch (position 0). In this way, the
residual pressure in the filling hose is reduced and thus it is possible to disconnect the filling hose from the
compensation tank without splashing the brake fluid.
9. Screw off the adapter and reassemble the original brake fluid cover on the compensation tank.
