Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS)
Operation
WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death from tractor roll over, follow
the instructions below:
• Keep roll bar in the raised position and use seat belt. 
• There is no roll over protection when the roll bar is
down. 
• Lower the roll bar only when necessary and NEVER
remove it. 
• Do NOT use seat belt when the roll bar is down. 
• Raise the roll bar as soon as clearance permits. 
• Do NOT jump off if mower tips. 
Lowering the Roll Bar
1. Remove the retaining clips (A, Figure 9) from the
retainer pins (B).

2. Push or pull the top of the roll bar (C) and remove the
retainer pins. 
3. Lower roll bar. Install the retainer pins and clips to lock
roll bar in the down position. 
Raising the Roll Bar
1. Remove the retaining clips (A, Figure 9) from the
retainer pins (B). Then, remove the retainer pins. 
2. Raise the roll bar (C) until the top of the roll bar touches
the upright tubes. 
3. Push or pull the top of the roll bar. Then, install the
retainer pins and clips to lock the roll bar in the raised
position. 
Utility Work Light
The ROPS utility work light (A, Figure 10) can be rotated
by hand to light front, or side mowing areas. The work light
switch is a three position switch (B): 
• The up position turns on the tractor headlights, red tail
lights, and ROPS work light. 
• The middle position turns on the headlights, and red tail
lights. 
• The down position turns off all the lights.

Seat Belt 
WARNING
Failure to correctly inspect and maintain the seat belt can
cause serious injury or death. 
Fasten Seat Belt 
1. Hold the latch and pull the seat belt across the body. 
2. Install the latch into the buckle.  Listen for a click.
