7.2 Adjusting the working depth

ground can result in the implement
being subjected to overloading. The
correct aerating depth is < 3 mm.
The working depth must be
adjusted in accordance with
the corresponding grass and
ground situation.

7.3 Starting
Start or activate the start-up switch
with care and in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions.
Ensure that there is sufficient clear-
ance between your foot and the
cutting toll. Position the aerator on
a level part of the lawn.
Inspect the grounds on which the
implement is to be used and
remove all objects which could
become caught and hurled away
from the implement.
If a foreign object blocks the cut-
ting tool or if the engine is over-
loaded, release the safety handle
and the engine will switch off
automatically. Remove the foreign
object if necessary.

After frequent use, the working
depth can be readjusted in accor-
dance with the blade wear.

Push the control lever (fig. B pos. 3)
forwards to Position D (Drive), the
aerator cylinder is switched to the
working position.

In order to deactivate the working
position of the aerator cylinder, pull
the control lever (fig. B pos. 3)
back to Position P (Park). The aera-
tor cylinder is no longer in use.

7.4 Switching off
To switch the engine off, release
the safety gripper (fig. B pos. 6).

so that the blades no longer make
contact with the ground.
