4.1.3 Automatic washer-disinfector
As an alternative to manual cleaning and disinfection, the device can also be pro-
cessed in a washer-disinfector
proved washer-disinfector according to ISO 15883-1.
1. Right after use, remove capsule from the device and discard capsule according to
local regulations.
2. In case of gross contamination of the device, remove it using a soft brush and run-
ning water.
3. Place device in the washer-disinfector allowing water and detergent to enter into
and drain off from device openings during washer-disinfection program. Follow
washer-disinfector's Instructions for Use.
4. Run washer-disinfection program with A0 value ≥ 3000 (e.g. 5 min at ≥ 90 °C), using
appropriate detergents
Device can be washer-disinfected for up to 200 times.
4.1.4 Sterilization
The device can also be autoclaved.
1. Steam autoclave device unwrapped at 134 °C/2 bar = 273 °F/29 psi for 3 minutes
30 seconds.
Device can be autoclaved for up to 1000 times.
4.1.5 Lubrication
1. Regularly apply dental instrument lubricant.
Do not continue to use damaged or soiled Capsule Extruder 2.
