Filter element replacement
Where appropriate, close shutoff valves at gas
inlet and outlet or depressurize the sytem.
Depressurize the housing : open the needle
valve (1)
•
Where required, separate the condensate discharge duct
from the needle valve (1).
•
unscrew fixing screw (2).
•
Unscrew the lower part of the filter (3), check the O-
ring and the distance ring (6) and replace it if required.
•
Remove the old filter element (4) and insert new one.
Caution: The filter elements FHP 261 and 371 are
equipped with a thread. Any other filter elements may
be detached and are supported from the floor up using
a spacer plate (5).
•
Close the housing, retighten the self-locking bolt (2),
close the needle valve (1).
•
Where required, connect the condensate discharge
duct with the needle valve (1).
•
Slowly admit pressure to the filter by gradual opening
of the shutoff valves.
Check the tightness of the housing and of the needle
valve.
•
Make a note of the date of the next element replace-
ment on the maintenance schedule and the label
supplied with the elements. Stick the label on a part
of the filter housing where it can easily be seen. Re-
order new elements and, where appropriate, a new
float-type drain to ensure an adequate stock of spare
parts (see Appendix, Fax Request).
•
Ensure correct disposal of old filter elements in ac-
cordance with the applicable waste disposal key.
