11. Using a 12mm socket on bolt PN 945444,
attach the lifting eye A (PN 3861919) to the
engine block through the bolt hole on the lower
thermostat housing. Tighten to 20–25 ft. lbs.
(27–34 Nm).
CAUTION! When connecting the lifting
eye, be sure to orient it so that any chain
used to lift the engine may safely clear the
flame arrestor. Failure to properly position
the lifting eye may cause serious damage
to the flame arrestor.
12. Use a 12mm socket on bolt B (PN 969189) and
a 9/16 in. (14mm) socket on bolt C
(PN 3860163) to finish securing the thermostat
housing to the intake manifold.
13. Tighten the bolts to 20–25 ft. lbs. (27–34 Nm).

1. Using an extension on a 9/16 in. (14mm) socket,
loosen and remove bolts D, then remove the
raw water pump bracket E.
