Rear Panel
19. POWER JACK
This is where the power cord attaches to the amplifier. The AC mains fuse is
also located here. If replacing the fuse, only install proper size and rating as
specified on the rear panel for your country and voltage.
20. SPEAKER JACKS
This is where the speaker cabinet connects to the amplifier. Please see the
section on "Maintaining Proper Impedance".
21. VENTILLATION LOUVRES
These allow fresh air in to cool the vacuum tubes. ALWAYS KEEP THESE OPEN.
22. SEND JACK
Connects the effect loop to the input of an effect processor. Signal gain is regu-
lated by the SEND Control on the front panel.
23. RETURN JACK
Connects the effect loop to the output of an effect processor. Signal gain is
regulated by the RETURN Control on the front panel.
24. LOOP SERIES/BLEND SWITCH
This switch sets the Effect Loop into either Series or Blend (parallel) operation.
25. FOOT SWITCH JACKS
This is where the Foot Switch attaches. Take care to plug the 3-conductor end
into Jack 1 and the 2-conductor end into Jack 2.
Troubleshooting
1. The power supply cannot be switched on.
• Plug the power cable all the way into the AC inlet (the power connector on
the back of the amp).
• Check that there is power at the AC outlet you are using (e.g., plug in
another device and turn it on).
2. The power supply can be switched on, but no sound
is heard.
• Check to see if the volume on the guitar is set to "0".
• Check to see if the volume on the amplifier is set to "0".
• Make sure that the output of your guitar or effect processor is connected
to the INPUT jack.
• Remove the effects between the guitar and the amplifier and check to see
if no sound is produced.
• Make sure that the shielded cable between your guitar and amp is not
broken. If you have another cable, try using it.
3. Noise is heard.
• Check to see if anything in the immediate vicinity is resonating or banging
against the amplifier to produce the noise.
• If you are using any compact effect devices between your guitar and amp,
try removing all of them, and check whether the noise occurs when only
the guitar and amp are used.
• Make sure that the shielded cable between your guitar and amp is not
broken. If you have another cable, try using it.
4. CHANNEL switch, DAMPENING switch or EFFECT
LOOP switch does not function.
• These panel switches are disabled if a footswitch or cable is connected to
the corresponding footswitch jack.
5. The foot switch does not control the various switches.
• Check that the foot switch jack is connected correctly.
6. Something is wrong with the sound from the speakers
• Is the impedance of the speaker system matched correctly?
• See whether the problem is solved by using a different guitar, effect (or
other external device), guitar cable, or speaker cable.
7. Smoke appears, or you notice a burning smell
• An internal malfunction may have occurred. Immediately stop using the
amp, and take it to your dealer for servicing.
8. Parts became cracked or broken
• Take the amp to your dealer for service. Continuing to use the amp even
after an input jack, control pot, or speaker unit is damaged may cause
other undamaged components to be affected.
