Simulation box, digital/analogue
This device is a simulation box designed exclusively for use in an
educational laboratory environment. It is not intended as an operating
device in an industrial environment, except as a commissioning aid for a
limited period of time.
It is to be used to create and visualise digital 24 V DC and analogue
0 – 10 V DC signals identical to those standard in PLC control
technology.
By using the appropriate cables, the simulation box facilitates both the
simulation of PLC inputs/outputs and the simulation of process
input/outputs.
In this mode of operation, the simulation box is used to first of all
simulate the digital and analogue inputs/outputs of a subsequently
planned PLC. Actuation of the switches causes the valves and relays of
the assembled hardware to be actuated; the input signals are displayed
via the LEDs. Two potentiometers facilitate the output of analogue
signals. An analogue voltage can be shown via a display. The selection
of the appropriate input is effected via a selector switch.

Fit cardboard insert PLCsim .
•
Supply the device with a 24 V DC voltage, using the enclosed cable.
The green LED Power lights up when the correct supply voltage is
applied.

Connect the digital I/O's of the device to the digital hardware I/O's
via the crossed SysLink cabel, Order No. 167106.
•
Connect the analogue I/O's to the analogue hardware I/O's via the
twisted analogoue cable, Order No. 533039.
The parallel SysLink cable, Order No. 034031 or the paralell analogue
cable, Order No. 529141 must not be used under any circumstances, as
this may otherwise damage the sensors.
