DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Press the Key firmly into the port at the top right of the front panel of
the FR3. When the FR3 is turned on, it announces "Infant/Child Mode"
and displays infant/child pads placement on the screen.*
Insert Key into FR3.
2. Place the pads, one on the chest and one on the back. It does not matter
which pad is placed on the chest or the back.
3. Follow the FR3 voice instructions. It will talk you through each step of
using it.
If the Infant/Child Key is removed during use of the FR3, the FR3 will
announce "Adult Mode." Any shocks delivered will be at the adult energy
dose, and any CPR instructions given will be for adults
CAUTION: Do not leave the Infant/Child Key inserted in the FR3 when
not in use. The lower defibrillation therapy level delivered with the Key
inserted may not be effective for treating an adult. The FR3 provides a
prompt to remove the Infant/Child Key on the status screen when
shutting down. In addition, if the Infant/Child Key is left inserted, the FR3
will give alarm chirps the next time it runs a self-test.
* If the bilingual option has been configured for the FR3, the screen provides a
choice of languages first.
Place pads.
