BIO SPEACIAL EQUIPMENT
BIO equipment is an exclusive and optional accessory that converts the
Finnish sauna booth into one in which is possible to alternate between
taking a sauna (dry heat) or taking a steam bath (wet heat). Obtaining
optimal combinations between heat and humidity.
The control panel is shown in the following figures, explaining the rules of
use.
Regarding the BIO heater, it's worth mentioning that there are two perfectly
differentiated parts, the dry heat and steam generators. The latter operates
using a water tank warmed up by an element. These generators are
independent and are turned on alternatively by pre-selecting the desired
bath type.
The steam generator has a limited use time as the tank, which should be
full of water, empties due to evaporation as a result of the heat. Because of
this, before using it, ensure that there is water in the tank and if not, fill it.
This BIO steam generator includes a safety tank which works using a
contactor in the rear part. This disconnects the element when the water
level is below the minimum level, and thus avoid a possible breakdown. If
this occurs, fill the tank again and reactivate the device.
The component also includes a valve on its lower part for emptying the
tank. This component should be used if the sauna will not be used for a
long period of time, as the stagnant water in the tank could result in fungus
and bacteria growth.
USING THE BIO EQUIPMENT
For the correct use of this optional component, follow a series of steps that
are listed below:
1. Verification of the water level in the tank. The correct level will be at
least 20 cm above the element.
2. Turning on: Put the tempearture regulator at 0 and the humidiy at the
level you want. Turn the switch on. At this point the green and red light
of the temperature regulator will go on and only the green light of the
humidity regulator will go on. This indicates that the suana heater is on
and ready to warm up the sauna, but the steam generator is still not
activated at this point.
28
Afgter a few minutes, and when the sauna has reached the correct
temeprature of 45-50ºC, the generator will be activated and steam
production will start. From this point, the quipment will be functioning at
full capacity and will maintain the correct temperature and the humidity
conditions previously selected.

Once the correct temperature, 45-50ºC, has been reached, it will remain
constant, however the level of humidity depends on the position that has been
selected using the regulator. In this table the position of the regulator was
approximately ¾, because of this, the humidity level doesn't surpass 80%, if it
had been at 4/4, the humidity would have reached 100%.
3. Once the steam bath session has finished, turn off the on switch on the
control panel for this equipment. Note that the sauna continues operation
for about 20 minutes to dry out the sauna after the steam session.
Control panel: HIDROTHERM:
This control panel corresponds to the
dual-function Bio equipment that can
be optionally included in some sauna
booths. With this equipment, we can
generate heat and steam obtaining a
combination of the Finnish sauna and
the steam bath.
This control panel corresonds to the
Bio heater in essentially the same way
as the S-33 ground support but also
has a steam generator.
