Cause
Defective Geberit electrofusion
sleeve coupling or defective
Geberit electrofusion tape for
anchor point.
Sleeve connection plug re-
moved during the welding pro-
cedure.
Electrofusion machine is over-
heating or operating at too high
an ambient temperature.
Operating at too low an ambi-
ent temperature.
Fault current while welding,
e.g. as a result of moisture on
electrical connections.
Electrofusion machine is de-
fective.
Rectification
4 Disconnect the mains plug.
4 Visually inspect the contacts
on the sleeve connection
plugs and dry or clean them
if necessary.
4 Use a new Geberit
electrofusion sleeve coupling
or a new Geberit
electrofusion tape for anchor
point.
4 Disconnect the mains plug.
4 Press the start button and
hold for three seconds.
4 Repeat the welding
procedure with the cooled
Geberit electrofusion sleeve
coupling or the cooled
Geberit electrofusion tape for
anchor point.
4 Let electrofusion machine
cool down until the trouble
indication goes out.
4 Do not expose the
electrofusion machine to
direct sunlight.
4 Only operate the
electrofusion machine in the
permitted temperature range.

4 Disconnect the mains plug.
4 Keep electrofusion machine,
all cables as well as Geberit
electrofusion sleeve coupling
or Geberit electrofusion tape
for anchor point dry and
clean.
4 Send the electrofusion
machine to an authorised
repair shop. For addresses
of authorised repair shops,
contact your Geberit sales
company or visit
www.geberit.com.
